In Nov. 2008, Monternet raised RMB 10 million in Round A from Shenzhen Capital Group, the leading local VC firm.
Edwin was the advisor.
Monternet is a leading mobile internet service company.
On 25 March 2015, Rongxin Power Electronic [002123.sz] acquired 100% Monternet's equity with cash plus stock at RMB 2.9 billion, thus Monternet reorganized Rongxin, becoming the listed company-Monternet [002123.sz].
Hence, Edwin became the advisors for both Monternet and its investees.
In Nov. 2010, Alibaba (HKEx Code: 1688) acquired OneTouch.
Edwin was the seller side's advisor.
OneTouch is China’s earliest on-line import/export service platform, one-stop completing customs declaration, shipping, insurance, forex settlement, tax rebates and financing etc. To acquire SME customer resources, OneTouch allied with Alibaba.
It was widely spread and ranked among “Top 10 M&As in 2010 with great impacts on SMEs”.
Later OneTouch became an assets wholly owned by Alibaba (NYEX Code: BABA).
In Dec. 2014, AirQuality raised USD 4.3 million in Round A from Tsing Capital, the leading CleanTech VC firm.

Edwin Tang, Founder & CEO, Shenzhen
EDWIN studied in former Chine-Europe Management Institute with a full EC scholarship, received MBA degree and an internship with Siemens AG. He is of the first 132 alumni of China-Europe International Business School and the first 300 MBAs educated in the Mainland of China.
In 1982 at age of 20, he graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University with a B.S. degree, and worked in Meishan Rolling Stock Works of former Ministry of Railways (currently of CRRC Group). When at 23, he shared in feasibility studies of the Ministry’s joint venture with World Fortune 500s and related negotiations. Later he was involved in product design and quality control.
Upon graduation with an MBA, he worked as managers in foreign invested companies, a investment advisor in a joint venture with Merrill Lynch, an investment manager in CMG's company and in a HK-listed company. He was relationship managers in both BCM and China Venture Capital Research Institute (Hong Kong).
In March 2007, he became a freelancer financial advisor, and founded Dream Capital in June 2011.
From 2009 to 2012, he involved himself in CDM Project consulting & Carbon Credit trading advice under Clean Development Mechanism of the United Nations.

Sam was formerly an industry analyst for Rabobank for two years, serving previously Euromonitor, Mintel and some other international market research companies. His first career was a journalist for Xinhua News Agency.
He is adept at advising clients on business models and strategies and in other aspects of cross-border investment, M&A, and brokering for cross-border loans.
He has two B.S. degrees, one in English from the Inner Mongolia Normal University, and the other in International Journalism from China School of Journalism jointly sponsored by Xinhua News Agency and Fullbright Program.
